Mission Statement
Highfield Hospital Group is committed to providing the highest standard of care and support to all our residents. Our patients are cared for in an environment appropriate to their needs, where the priority is to preserve their dignity and promote their independence.

Philosphy of Care
Highfield Hospital Group is dedicated to delivering holistic care to all our patients. Our philosophy is to provide a caring environment and a guarantee to strive and meet the needs of all individuals within our service.

Care Team
Medical Care
The medical care team is headed by Dr. Denis Eustace, Medical Director, and Dr. Andrew Eustace, both Consultant Psychiatrists of old age. This is supplemented by locum psychiatrists. Medical care is provided 24 hours a day 7 days a week. All patients are reviewed on a daily basis ensuring that medical and psychological needs are met. In addition the following services are offered: counselling, cognitive and emotional therapies, behaviour modification, communication skills and family therapy. The treatment plan will be based upon a standardised assessment for each person, to meet his or her individual needs.
Specialist Nursing
The Director's of Nursing ensure that staff are aware of all the residents needs and that the highest possible standard of care is delivered. In the Directors absence there is always another senior nurse on duty.

Specialist 24-hour nursing services are provided and overseen by registered nurses and supported by care assistants. The skill mix and number of nurses is based on the assessed needs and dependency of the individuals receiving care at any one time, although the core numbers will remain the same. Additional expertise can be accessed as and when necessary from continence, tissue care, stoma and diabetes nurse specialists. Others may be called upon if required.

Visiting Hours
At Highfield Hospital Group we know and recognise that keeping in touch with your relatives and friends is important. We would ask that anyone intending to visit before 10.00am or after 8.00pm should let us know beforehand and visiting at meal times should be avoided.

Accreditation

We at Highfield Hospital Group are proud to announce our success in achieving ‘Certification of Healthcare Accreditation’, awarded by CASPE research. The hospital accreditation process involves monitoring, developing and supporting Highfield Hospital Group in providing modern healthcare and improves efficiency in our operation.

What is accreditation?
"Accreditation is a process for the external evaluation of a healthcare service. It is a formal process to ensure delivery of safe, high quality health care based on standards and processes devised and developed by health care professionals for health care services. It is a developmental process using the skills of external peers trained and appointed as a team of assessors."
