The Highfield Hospital Group is set on the grounds of the historic Hampstead Castle estate, bordered by Glasnevin and Drumcondra. The entire estate covers 85 acres of private farm and parkland on both sides of the swords road, adjacent to plunkett college in Whitehall.

The Highfield Hospital site comprises of 10 acres and includes Highfield Hospital, the Alzheimer’s Care Centre and the High Dependency unit. The Hampstead Hospital site comprises some 75 acres and includes Hampstead Hospital, Elmhurst Nursing Home and the Desmond Centre.

How to reach Hampstead Hospital and Elmhurst Nursing Home

Set in the grounds of the historic Hampstead Castle Estate, Elmhurst Nursing Home is accessed via Hampstead Avenue in Glasnevin, north of Griffith Avenue.
Hampstead Avenue is opposite the Esso station / Glasnevin Tennis Club on the Ballymun Road. The 11, 13 and 19a bus services are within easy walking distance.
